Cleancut Press Release
Fighting Back Against the Rogue Trader.
All too often we read of householders being left high and dry by tradesmen who are untrained, do shoddy work and leave them out of pocket.
Trading Standards Officers do their best, as do other consumer organisations to protect the public, but they are reactive.
The Government have been pro-active in this by introducing the Government Endorsed Trustmark Scheme (www.trustmark.org.uk), setting standards the public can expect from any trade.
This scheme is supported by many professional organisations from all sides of the service industry. High standards are set and businesses are independently assessed to ensure proper business practice, through to health and safety, insurance, service, support and compliance with Government legislation.
Cleancut Garden Services of Swansea are the first landscape company in South West Wales to be accepted on this scheme through the Association of Professional Landscapers. They were successful after being assessed by the Association of Professional Landscapers (www.landscapers.org.uk), who spoke to customers, visited sites where work was on going, interviewed staff and ensured work was carried out in compliance with standards of excellence.
Proprietor Mr Kevin Richards stated “This is not a scheme that anyone can simply subscribe to. There are criteria that applicants must meet to be able to apply for membership. If your business and work do not meet the very high standards, your application will be declined. Householders should be asking any tradesman are you a Trustmark Trader and if not why.”
Cleancut Garden Services (www.cleancutgardenservices.co.uk) has been trading for over 10 years providing gardening and grounds maintenance services to domestic and commercial clients covering Llanelli, Neath, Port Talbot, Swansea and the Gower areas. They have qualifications accredited by the Royal Horticultural Society in gardening and garden design, and are members of the Institute of Groundsmanship, Horticultural Trades Association and Association of Professional Landscapers.
